This one is for Jim Knaggs....so he knows i'm alive!

Ok, so I haven't blogged in a LONG time.......there've been a few reasons for that......LOTS of stuff happening on the army front, not a lot of time for writing, then there's the whole issue of me and my bloggy type stuff. I have another journal floating around the net......or, well, i USED to have another journal.....but i have ceased using it for now because honestly, i haven't been satisfied with where it was housed for a long time now [just because of a structure/formatting thing]. So i guess i've been a bit on a blog sebattical for a while.

And in all fairness to myself, this space was never designed to be a journal type thing....i stated up front in my first post that....oh, heck, now that i'm realizing that people are actually READING this thing, i'll simply repost it.....here goes

ENTRY FROM JAN
This is NOT a journal. So if you've stumbled on this blog hoping to hear what i had for breakfast this morning or how pissed i am because of somethingthat happened at the office, you might as well move on. This is a writing venture. For a long while now, the Lord has laid it on my heart to write....write what, He and i are still working that out....but it has become increasingly clear that the format for what he is going to give me will be this form.

The Lord's voice is living and active. He still speaks. He speaks in and through his children who are willing to listen....he speaks through his word...he speaks through his creation...there are many ways in which God speaks...we just have to practice listening to him.

That's what this writing venture is....an exercise in hearing, listening to, and speaking words from the Lord. What he shares with me, gives me, and sometimes, what I ask HIM. This is a GOD THING.....not a blog thing, not a CK thing, not anything that would resemble a meaningless prattling on journal.

I seriously considered turning the 'post comments' feature off on this blog. The way i saw it was that there are enough other means of communicating with me if you're someone who already knows me that those lines of direction would remain open.....but then it occured to me that if you're reading this blog, chances are good that you've been GIVEN this address by me because I trust you and value your thoughts......and imput from your active voices too.

This will most likely be the last post that is directed at readers..........

Ok, so i made a liar out of myself on that last sentance, but i did want to clarify to my buddy Jim Knaggs that i am, in fact, still alive, and will hopefully update the MOTHERLOAD of stuff this next week [i leave for vacation on friday!]

this is still a writing venture, and it's still going to be sporadic, and mostly for my own "convenience of housing/storing writing type stuff" purposes, but i hope that those of you who read will be able to glean something from something, and that you're blessed!

oh, and just so i don't myself forget....I've set a deadline for myself to get all my stuff actually IN PRINT -- 9 months from now, which would be MAY 06 -- i'm going to put my writings into book form and just publish it through lulu.com so it can actually be fully copywrited to me. that way, i'll have a physical copy of my random ramblings.....and will have fufilled a life's dream in the process.
